Weill Cornell Medical College

Founded in 1898, and affiliated with what is now New York-Presbyterian Hospital since 1927, Weill Cornell Medical College is one of the premier academic medical institutions in the country. Weill Cornell's Division of Cardiology was recently recognized for exceptional clinical care, ranking 3rd nationally by U.S. News and World Report in its 2016 survey of best heart programs. Their nationally-acclaimed Fellowship Training Program, which offers outstanding candidates the opportunity to study under some of the nation's leading cardiology faculty, continuously attracts the very brightest physicians to Weill Cornell's stellar academic environment. Skidmore College

Founded in 1903 and located in Saratoga Springs, New York, on a beautiful 890-acre campus, Skidmore is one of the top ranked liberal arts colleges in the country, known for its creative approaches to just about everything. The college's core belief: creative thought matters. With a diverse student body of 2,500 from 45 states/territories and 60 countries and a faculty of 300 dedicated teacher-scholars, Skidmore offers more than 40 majors in the humanities, sciences, and social sciences, as well as in career-specific fields such as business, education, exercise science, and social work. The Kenny Gordon Scholarship at Skidmore, specifically targets high school students who have the ability to thrive in a higher education environment but whose schools do not provide the support or resources necessary to prepare them for the academic challenges of college.
