Dear Friend:

We know how many charities solicit you throughout the year. No matter how committed we all may be to the causes we support, it's still a lot of paper filling up your mailbox. As a result, KGF makes it a point to contact you only when it is absolutely necessary. This is one of those times.

First, we are deeply grateful to each and every one of you who through the years has made it possible for us to give generously to those in need. Whether you were moved in the past to donate to KGF in support of the research being done at The Kenny Gordon Arrhythmia Laboratory at Cornell University/New York Presbyterian Hospital....the full four year scholarships to Skidmore College awarded to the incredibly bright, inspirational students from the Higher Education Opportunity Program....the great summers provided to underprivileged youth in "Kenny's Kids" at Morry's Camp....or just to celebrate the memory of our Kenny, you've helped make the past years significantly better for a lot of people from all walks of life.

We recognize in the current economy many people are struggling just to make ends meet. We too are struggling and hope you will continue to make a difference by making an end of the year contribution to the KGF. Without your continued support, we will have to cut back on the level of funding we have been able to provide to these great and diverse programs over the years. The KGF has NO OVERHEAD, so 100% of every dollar you contribute directly funds the medical research, scholarships and campers we help support. And it is critical we continue to fund these incredible people and the work they are doing.

Your participation and contributions are helping to endow Drs. Bruce Lerman and David Christini's groundbreaking work to help prevent cardiac arrhythmias, rather than dangerously waiting to terminate them after they have started. You have also brought hope and promise to a new crop of incredible young men and women who are beneficiaries of the Kenny Gordon Scholarship at Skidmore College. Their inspirational journeys are too rich to summarize here, but you can read about them for yourself at www.kennygordonfoundation.com, where we are in the process of posting some of their stories.

Again, we understand the constraints of the current economy and are all the more grateful for whatever you can do. On behalf of our Board of Directors and Kenny's family and friends, I thank you for your kindness and generosity and I wish you and your family a happy and healthy New Year.

Sincerely,

Because KGF is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, gifts are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law.
